Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is the long-awaited prequel set in Jadame, a continent on the planet Enroth, chronologically before the events of HoMM III. Developed by Limbic Entertainment and published by Ubisoft, it entered Steam Early Access on April 30, 2026. The game preserves the beloved turn-based strategy formula — build towns, recruit heroes, conquer maps — while introducing new systems: the Focus resource for special unit abilities, Faction Laws for town-wide buffs, subclass hero progression, and native terrain spreading.
